• DIRS.RAW file format

From Angel Ripoll@2:341/66 to Todos on Tue Jul 11 18:50:00 2023
    Hola Todos!

Can someone tell me where I can find the DIRS.RAW file format to import file areas in Synchronet 3.20? It's okay if you tell me here :)

I would really like to know if there is a way to import fileareas with the path where the files go

    Thanks :)

    Un saludo,
    Angel Ripoll

As it says in the SCFG help:
A "raw" directory listing is a text file with sub-directory names only.

I would really like to know if there is a way to import fileareas with the path where the files go

The full-path for each directory? Are you wanting/expecting them to have different parent directories?

    OK. No description then.

Yes, that's exactly what I want. It's possible?

    Thanks :)

Did you try just using the Import->Directory Listing... feature? That should allow you to import multiple directories from multiple different parents without having to create any listing files yourself.

Yes, that works but not quite as I would like. I can't automatically put the long and short name of each filename. I would like to be able to import a file containing the internal code of each filename, the long and short name and the full path. I don't know if that exists but it's what I would really like to have.

Are you using v3.20? If so, the file.ini format is pretty straight forward and you can just use a text editor or script to add the file areas any way you like.

the raw import is not great. you're better off importing it and then fixing it up. it would crap out on my large file system.

It will probably be something like that to do.
