    Is PC Micro "cripleware?"

I would not call it cripleware. I don't use it on my linux box but I have used stuff from PC Micro in the past with good results.

NetFoss is free and works wonders for those who need it.

don't know what limitations his software may have, though...

I know that NetSerial will run fully functional for a period of time and then not so much so until it is registered. However, I am not sure if Mike is still
running the Sysop deal for NetSerial registrations, but I know at one point it was relatively inexpensive for Sysops to purchase a NetSerial license. I have been a licensed user of NetSerial since back when it used to be called Com/IP.

    Peace,
    Robert

The fossil is free but the NetSerial is demo for 30 days. For the 25.00 sysop deal, I purchased two and happy with my purchase.

I bought NetSerial for my WinServer bbs (wildcat) to use with their
mailer PXW and I connect seamlessly with other bbs's using same. It
does not that I know of connect to a binkp site.
