• porting *nix app to OS2

From mark lewis@1:3634/12 to all on Wed Mar 7 06:34:46 2001
i'm looking for someone to port a small application to OS2... i'd prefer someone with EMX 0.9d fix3... i'm just not up on my C and the porting issues involved but as this is a small app, i don't think it'll take much time... once
the port is complete, the diffs will be sent to the originator for inclusion in
further releases... makefile, configure script, and source modifications are all needed, i'm sure... if for nothing else than to add OS2 to the OS lists in the defines and other areas... by small package, the original tar.gz is only 37k and the tarball is only ~189k... most of the package is docs and specs... only like ten or eleven .h and .c files altogether...

    thanks!

uh, i dunno... i don't recall what the original reason was for writting... the last one i remember, was the dynip.com updater, which i believe you did for me...

when did you get the message i wrote above??

    Then.

It looks like some BBS has just spat out some really old messages. I picked up 3 here, which my point system detected as dups of quite some age. My message base goes back to 1999.

ie 2 years ago... <g> and you wrote the reply then too :-).

I've found the two replys by you here and one over in OS2REX...

Probably duped by (1:)140/1, NW Star...
Looking at the path info, it has (2:)257/609 (here), then (2:)255/90
(Simon Avery - he closed down ages ago but was the UK to Z1 gateway
when he was open), then (1:)140/1 (the Z1 end of the link all the
time), then the expected BBSs back from 1:140/1, ie Neil Walker at
2:250/501 (the current importer) and here...
There seem to be occasional glitches at 1:140/1, I've seen the replys
to a message from Europe in OS2 without seeing the original recently
:-(. (and I'm picking it up direct from Neil at the moment...)

    Seems about right.

I should have trawled through Squish to find the original.

when did you get the message i wrote above??

    Then.

Yes, it was an authentic message from me.

At least I can still count to 3. ... :-)

Probably duped by (1:)140/1, NW Star...

Well, there has been no recurrence. I don't think it is a major issue.
