now, but I sure had fits with it on WSeB and SIO2k.

I have problems with eCS and SIO2K. Front Door (DOS)
wont detect the fossil. Tried the older SIO, same
    thing.

I'm not running FrontDoor, ViaMail does my tossing, but it
works great under Warp3 with SIO v1.60d.

You've got v00.sys in your VDM's "device" settings?

Did you try telling FrontDoor to *not* use a fossil? SIO
should be able to fake out a DOS program into thinking it's
a real serial port without a problem.

    Doug,

I have it working with Warp 4 and SIO 1.xx
Its eCS and the new SIO2K that dont work.
Actually, I just installed the 12/2001 update and it still doesnt work.

    Yes I do, vx00.sys iIrr.
With the update I get a vx00/vsio mismatch or vsio is not installed.
I do have it in config.sys in the load order in the FAQ with SIO2K.
I suspect vsio2k is not loading at boot up.

I have *never* found any way to tell FrontDoor not to use a fossil. Do you know of one that I don't?

No, I'm sorry, I'm not a FrontDoor user. It seems to me
that you wouldn't need to use a Fossil driver if you're
running it on a DOS box single tasking with a modem plugged
into it. Can't you tell FrontDoor to do that?

Well Rich, you blew out my limited experience. I only
played with it during that whirlwind attempt to replace my
Warp3 system with Warp4/WSeB and then gave up in
frustration. I do have the laboratory still set up though,
so I'm hoping to get back to that experiment in the coming
    months.

I just can't help you with it right now.

Well Rich, you blew out my limited experience. I only

I kinda think its a Warp 4.5 problem.
    I'm not sure myself.

    Thanks anyway

there is not one... FD requires a FOSSIL driver to talk comms stuffs to whatever...
