  • I can't run DOS doors! :(

    I'm trying to run DOS doors under OS/2 Warp Connect to no avail. :( I'm using SIO 1.60, and I was able to do this way back in the mid-90's(though I don't have telnet nodes then).

    Here are my relevant files:

    config.sys:
    DEVICE=C:\SIO\SIO.SYS (COM1:38400,INTERNET:3F8,NONE:4,-) (COM2:38400,2F8,3,-) (COM3:38400,INTERNET:3E8,NONE:4,-) (COM4:38400,INTERNET:2E8,NONE:3,-) DEVICE=C:\SIO\VSIO.SYS
    DEVICE=C:\SIO\VX00.SYS

    menus.ctl:
    Display_File misc\doorsys SysOp "DHangman"
    NoDsp XTERN_DOS D:\MAX\HANGMAN\THANG.BAT_%k_%P SysOp "D"

    thang.bat:
    cd\max\hangman
    thang.exe /N%1 /P%2 /DD:\MAX\NODE%1\

    Could you please help me? What am I doing wrong? :(

    Yes, it does have an OS/2 native version. But I'm using the DOS version for trying to run DOS doors. If I become successful, I'll be able to run other DOS doors.

    Yep, that sounds like a good plan. I used to run quite a few DOS doors
    with Maximus and Telegard under OS/2. Sean Dennis runs TG/2 under OS/2,
    maybe he can give a helping hand.

    I hate to say it, but I can't remeber much of OS/2 anymore, but I
    can say it is doable.. The only problem I had was with some LORD
    IGM's I couldn't get to work, but most any dos door would.. :)

    The stock DOORSYS.MEC is passing the wrong parameter, IIRC, as the comport. Double check it. I had that problem too when I first set up Maximus/2 years ago.

    Thank. I've just downloaded doormax2.zip and I got things working. :) I re-discovered that it isn't the hot port handle which should be passed to the DOS door but the actual port number.
