• freeware telnet door?

From Michael Balcos@1:106/2000 to All on Thu Jan 5 12:08:30 2006
Is there a free telnet door for an os/2 bbs? I'm looking for one for my Maximus/2 bbs. I've seen citrus soft's telnet door and another telnet door from
    hobbes, but they require registration.

I am not aware of a "Free" one, however if you happen to use SIO for your COM ports, then SIO contains a very nice VMODEM (Virtual modem - AKA serial to TCP/IP interface) that works well.

    Cheers...............pk.

I just had a look at os2.tucows and saw 1.19 there, says it's freeware
but I'm not sure about that..

Not anymore. You've got some old versions.

If you want, I can leave it for you here on the board or email it to you. The author, dink, made Citrisoft free years ago.

Send an email to bbs@outpostbbs.net with the subject of FREQ and in the message
    body, put the following:

    FREQ CINET119.ZIP
    FREQ CINET.ZIP

Just send it off and you'll get the two files.

First, unzip and set up CINET119.ZIP. When that's done, extract CINET.ZIP into
the directory that you put the first archive in. The second archive contains the freeware executables.

(This offer is for others too... ;)
