    thanks for that - i will try it out. when I fix my other bug which is a random hang of the logon windoe of the ATTGLOBAL.net ipdial.exe - maybe injoy is the way to go.

    ive been quietly lurking in the geno area - but theres not a lot of activity. must say GENBOARD gets more traffic interest from users who
    read the msg areas that mirror a selection of rootsweb.com lists

    thanks peter I will investigate that - I am still using bink 2.59
    i presume it has the same function ?

    I woulds also very much like to build a straight command file to invoke ppp and slattach rather than use the attglobal dialer which has a habit of hanging on the logon window

    I can't be certain but it would not surprise me to find that it had.

    I don't know the ATT Dialer sorry, however you can script this type of function
    to run OS/2's native PPP, or even with Injoy.
