Sorry if this has already been posted, but I couldn't find it in a
search of the forum. When the sysop is chatting with a user for several minutes and ends the chat, the user immediately gets dropped due to an inactivity timeout. Is this a known issue with the latest version?

I am not able to reproduce this. How are you chatting with the user (there are several ways) and what OS are you using?
I'm not sure exactly how Todd was doing it, but I have noticed that if youbreak into chat using nodespy, as soon as you exit chat you will be disconnected for inactivity. I believe this was on a Linux system that it happened to me.
