• Mystic and Squish

From Fabio Bizzi@2:335/364.1 to All on Tue Jan 30 16:53:00 2018
    Hello everybody!

I run my node with binkd and the Husky Project suite and I have the message base in squish format.

I'd like to use Mystic for the BBS still using the binkd/Husky for the mailer and the tosser.

    Is it possibile?
Is there a way to use Mystic with Squish message areas?

    Many thanks.

    Ciao.
    Fabio

Not that I know of, g00r00 discontinued support for squish a while back and said JAM will be the only one supported.

    Cheers!

Many thanks Chris, may I ask you if you know any tool that runs on Linux to convert squish message base to JAM?

    Many Thanks.

    Ciao. :)

    that should be fine...

switch to JAM areas... SQUish as numerous limitations...

    1. only 10 reply links
    2. message timestamps are converted to DOS timestamps
which means that seconds are forced to an even number

those are the two main ones that i generally think of... the timestamp one is really bad because it causes problems with duplicate detection when some tossers compare headers and the seconds have changed...

why convert? there's plenty of mail running around to fill the message bases again ;)

    Yes, you're right!
But just a couple of hours ago I've caused a big headhache to Ulrich Schroether
(my echo uplink) with a big echomail/netmail/filefix flooding caused by a misconfigured rntrack, I've to be quiet for a long time with him and an another
areas rescan is really not what he needs!!! ;)

    Thank you.

    Ciao.
