• Polling nodes

    From Wilfred van Velzen@2:280/464 to All on Fri Oct 27 17:52:22 2017
    Hi All,

    What is/are the setting(s) in mystic to have it poll (almost) immediately, when
    there is anything to deliver to connected nodes?

    I have a connection to a mystic node that is struggeling with this...

    Bye, Wilfred.

    Set up an Event of type Semaphore:

    shell = fidopoll.exe send
    semaphore = echomail.out|netmail.out

    Should do the trick :)

    Same as anything else, really. When echomail is ready a semaphore file is created.

    If they are using all Mystic components then they can create a Semaphore listening event in Mystic to wait for the semaphore and then execute Mystic's tosser/send functions. The default install has example events for this, but maybe looking at some video tutorials would be more helpful:

    It really depends on what software they're using. Mystic doesn't require you to use Mystic's tosser or mailer, or even its terminal servers... you can use whatever you want. A configuration of course depends highly on what they're using.
