I don't listen to radio stations at all. It's all the same stuff on
the stations that I'd be interested in.
Also, if I do listen to the radio, it's the same songs. You'd think
Soft Cell had one song. Culture Club had one song, The Eagles had one
or two songs. Variety has gone from radio.
Agreed. AM & FM radio is my area are always the same 10 to 15 songs
played in different orders on different days with way too many
commercials thrown in. For awhile I subscribed to a year of SiriusXM satellite radio and while the lack of commercials was a breath of
fresh air, it was just more of the same. The same songs played in a different order on different days.

think there'd be variety. An Eagles song was on one channel to I
changed to another...already had the same Eagles song playing. Changed
to another channel which was on ads...so I waited and then what...they played an Eagles song.
That's when you know it's time to give up and just pop on a CD.
While I can see the advantages of using subscription services, you're basically just renting music, you pay ever month but you don't own anything at the end of it. I'll stick to ripping my CDs to mp3s and playing on the computer, through Alexa or loading what I feel like listening to onto my phone and play it in the car.
