From Sean Dennis@1:18/200 to All on Tue Jul 6 19:28:32 2021
I just discovered that using ZModem with Qodem for Windows trying to upload a file can reliably crash my Max/2 system every time. Using YModem-G seems to work.

    Anyone else have this issue?

Wasn't this a known issue for uploading or something? I remember I
created a work around that would let people upload their mail packets
before the BBS launched or soemthing insane like that.

Even if I knew where my backup was I wouldn't be able to figure it
    out anymore anyway. LOL

I have your workaround here for mTel. I think's the same issue with a buggy ZModem implementation. I switched over to YModem-G without issue. It's not that big of a deal but I want to let my callers know that there may be issues.

I've discovered when downloading a QWK packet using HyperTerminal with ZModem, HT's buggy Zmodem causes a data corruption and you lose the whole packet.

I understand that only too well...

I think the modern terminals all support ymodem-g anyway? I'd have to check Magiterm (which is the one I use now) and see.

    Ugh that's wonderful.

How well does Magiterm work? I spotted it an one point and was going to give it a try, but for some reason, and I can't remember why, I never did.

    Is it still being developed?

I use it every day. Works perfectly for me... I used synterm for years
and it works just perfectly as well. This is a hacked together chromebook
and apam compiled a binary for me. (My good laptop lives at the trailer
for the summer and I use the chrome book at home)

    Is it still being developed?

    As far as I know.

The code is available on GitLab.
