• Squish for Linux has some problems

From Michele Marie Dalene@1:142/7176 to All on Tue Aug 21 07:44:58 2007
Squish for Linux. (latest source) has some problems. these are not nessesarily TINY problems
    1. the Pack verb is broken. I followed the example to set up my Uplink for zip like so
    Pack Zip 1:142/928
it didn't work and still sent him mail with arc.

    2. Secure doesn't work either! therefore stict password matching never gets used on receipt of packets.

These are the two I have just noticed when returning to upgrading the BBS. Is anyone updating Squish? If not... is there a squish replacement for Linux?

    Thanks
    Michele Marie Dalene

    There is always Husky http://husky.sourceforge.net/
or Crashmail II has been ported to Linux, and I /believe/ there was a SMAPI version of it that would work with Squish areas. (Crashmail is a great tosser and easy as heck to setup!) Use it on my point setup under Windows, and used to run it under Linux as well.

Are you using the CVS version?

I remembered there was a few problems with squish that i fixed, butI can squish
successfully for years, without having any problems. And I were using secure inbound too

With the pack-problem does the archivers from compress.cfg still work in Maximus
I suspect that you may have a problem in compress.cfg.

Is it possible that I can get access to this echo on your BBS this BBBS system really annoyds me.

    Regards,
    Bo
