I guess the trick is when someonr sues YOU, you then counter-sue for the chance to be awarded "compensatory damages".

    Ciao!

I suppose Johnny Depp can go back and sue his attorney, since his attorney's statements were the ones that were called out in Amber Heard's judgement.

It's a never ending cycle of lawyers. I'm sure the lawyer's lawyer will counter-sue.

At least he should sue for the cleaning costs to de-crapify his bedroom.

Maybe.. but for a $2M diff, it's probably not worth it.

I doubt that his ex-wife won the $2M based on some statements
made by the opposing lawyers in the courtroom. My understanding
is that a counter-claim has to be filed BEFORE trial. So.. if
the woman won a judgement, it was likely something that was
expressed by Johnny's counsel in the series of affidavits going
on back and forth before trial.

It's a never ending cycle of lawyers. I'm sure the
    lawyer's lawyer will counter-sue.

We shall see. But a judge can just arbitrarily cut that short
    and deny it.
