I'm at an impass here.. I have MBSE running on a Pi, so I'm trying to find an external message editor.. I can't get GoldED+ to compile for the life of me, and the current internal FSED is rather flaky..

I know I can use Joe, but it's pretty horrible too lol

MBSE also creates configuration files for MsgEd. I haven't tried building either GoldED+ or MsgEd on a Pi, so I can't help with that (yet.)

Joe v3.7 works with no issues here. Later versions changed something that causes the integration with the BBS to fail. Ken Bowley was working on fixing that, but I haven't heard from him for a few weeks.

Howdy, I've managed to get GoldED+ to compile on both the Pi and X86_64 - using
the source from github. I might be able to help.

(I'm new to MBSE - so didnt know how to configure it :)

I'm going to try and build a deb from it, but it might take me a day or so to get it.

I've got the DEB to build (very little change from the github source). My old problem is that I cant get the screen config right.

(You can install directly from my apt repository - let me know if want instructions.)

By default, it completly messes up rendering the screen - and if I export TERM to various values (ansi/vt520ansi, etc) - its other messed up color or not messed up black and white.

The only termcap I can get to render properly is TERM=ansi.sys, but then it is interpretting the esc from the arrow movements as "quit" :(

So looking for tips on how to "call" goldedplus.
