1.0.7 will be released within the next couple of weeks; I'm just trying to tie up a couple of loose ends before the release. Once 1.0.7 is released, it will be hatched into the MBSE_BBS fileecho, as well as being available for download from my system and the Sourceforge website.

This version running here - thanks Andrew.

Did you have to boot from your SSD to build it?

That's what I had thought. But want to make sure. I had installed MBSE 10-15 years ago on a Linux PC. Thanks.

Yep, compiled it there then installed in normal boot drive as the SSD does not have bbs set up.

As I run under Mageia v5 I cannot let new users come in as the password setup for them and like wise for existing user to change it does not work without a passwd busy error.

I do have a copy of Mageia; I'm hoping I can diagnose that issue before I release 1.0.7.

I know I've said this before, but thanks for working on this stuff
Andrew. MBSE is the best of the "traditional" BBS software and it
works great on a raspberry pi which as time goes on I like more and
    more. ;)

Will look forwards to your reasons for it - as I played with the code by forcing some fixed results with absolutely no success :(

Even work on a IBM mainframe environment (under Hercules) must try it using the
