• Session errors on v1.06?

From RJ Clay@1:120/544 to All on Wed Mar 9 14:19:54 2016
    Hi All!

I'm getting session errors like the following attempign to connect between this node (1:120/544) and the version v1.06 node I'm trying to test at 1:120/545, regardless of what I have the session password set to:

    ! 09-Mar-2016 14:02:01 mbcico[8395] Binkp: M_ERR "Bad password"

Is there something I forgot to include for the compile, perhaps?

I am still getting those on the v1.06 test system, regardless of what I have the session password set to. Any ideas of what might be causing it?

What software is being used on the other system?

Is the case of the password exactly the same on both?

In case that wasn't clear; MBSE BBS v0.92.

Is the case of the password exactly the same on both?

Entered the same on both, tring serveral different ones...

You mean, where I was testing from? That was v0.92 of MBSE BBS. (that old system is no longer online.)

Is the case of the password exactly the same on both?

    Yes it was.

I suspect it an issue with the OS install or the hardware it was running on... I now have a 32bit build (don't have the Debian pkg the way I want yet...) of v1.0.6.8 that appears to be running on with no issues on a new system. Was able to start it off with the config data files from the old v0.92
install. (Which fortunately I had a back up of...)

Didn't have a chance to do that, what the multiple problems I was having with the servers on top of RealLife(tm) issues.

Could the the installed packages on the O/S or more likely what isn't for mbse compile, would need a very careful look at the required and recommended devel elements that are needed along with any others listed as recomended.

Must admit here I have installed most of the kitchen sink other than for modem usage and no I do not use Debian/ubuntu distros as I also need a development system and find both have too many problems in that mode.
