Just wondering if anyone knows if it's possible or wise to have a door that goes to a telnet session to another machine? I'm thinking of
setting up a TradeWars 2002 server on my virtual windows machine and I would like people from the BBS to be able to connect to the game from
the BBS. It's just a thought at this time as I can get the code for
the door version and just run it from a dosemu like I do all the
other games.
Yep, you can do it that way if you prefer, it's been done that way
before. I think the folks at BBSLink.net run the doors they have up
like that and it works well.
I haven't heard of the server.. is there a difference between that and
the door?
