    Look how many people get scammed, doxxed, swatted, stalked, etc. It's one of the reasons I don't use Facebook; they force real names.

    This is not the internet, this is fidonet. Fidonet is generally considered a real name network. So it's the polite thing to do towards your fellow sysops to also use your real name, Madison!

    And people do not get scammed somewhere because they use their real name, but because they are too stupid to check what is going on.
