• Unlocking config files

I'm setting up my BBS after having to rebuild the entire computer, and all seems to work, but I'm getting an error with Irex v2.31. It's in a loop, and telling me "Rex is waiting for config files to be unlocked". What do I do?

Go into /Irex/Sema, and remove the busy file there. I start Rex with a batch file, that looks for the /sema/rex*.* file, and then removes it if there.

Did that, but it changed nothing. So, I copied over a copy of the entire IREX directory, and it works. But, the same question looms-what if it happens again??

    Thanks

Make a backup of your working directory. A corrupted config can be the cause of such behaviour as well.

When this happens to me I just delete the sem files and copy over the
event.rex file. The event file is usually the one that gets corupted for
    some reason.
