• Atari with ham radio?

From Greg Goodwin@1:124/5009 to Tom Walker on Fri May 26 06:32:44 2000
I heard a while back that Atari users can be found at ham radio fests. I was curious what people found useful for the Atari line of computers in reguards to ham radios.

    Thanks,

    Doctor Clu

There were several programs written for Hams that used the ATARI. The Commodore of course was the most popular of the early home computers
    for Ham use.
I don't recall any specific programs myself.

I think the latest versions of the Atari are capable of running programs
that were written for PCs. But don't quote me on that.

Thats if any signal gets through to your communications receiver over the RFI emissions emanating from the Commodore 64!

    Maybe the ATARI is cleaner?

    Cheers,

I had one of the CW recieve modules for my Commodore 64 and never has
many problems. OF course perhaps I did miss a lot of the S-1
    transmissions. :-) :-)
