When I took my test we had to write the answers out and also draw the diagrams asked for by the question.

Whats yer point? First time I wrote my test, I too had to do that. Lack of CW
ability forced me to try and try again. Still dont have CW, but am going to try for at least the 5 wpm test again. Never had a problem with the written test. Just because it is multiple choice does not make it any easier. Granted
if the test is published then somebody could conceiveably memorize the sequence, but here in Canada, they have sample questions, and you have no idea what questions will be on a given test.

I agree with the rest of your post regards your hard work, and loss of recognition

Point is, the memory course was more difficult as describied below.

Same here, except the questions that ARE asked are not just similar to
the samples. They are taken "word for word" from the study questions.
Hence, only necessary to study the questions and the "correct" answer.

I agree with the rest of your post regards your hard work, and loss of recognition

I'm not a fanatic about it, though. That's the way it is everywhere,
    I reckon.

His Point is that the Test is a JOKE proving nothing but Memory capabilities here in the US. We also have a Question Pool abnd the Test element questions are drawn from it. BUT, particualrly by using a Computer, you can have the Questions and Correct Answer Flash on the screen in random fashon allowing you
to Memorize the Whole Question/Answer Pool without Ever understanding one thing. Even before the day of the computer boks that allowed you to do the same thing were popular. Just read it cover to cover until you "Recognized"(NOT Understood) all the answers.
