    here is what I had in my golded.cfg
    IF SPELL

    "IF SPELL" not necessary.

    SCheckerEnabled Auto ; check while typing
    SCheckerDefLang en_US
    SCheckerDicPath /usr/share/goldedplus/spell/

    In my GOLDED.CFG:
    ===
    SCheckerEnabled Auto
    SCheckerDefLang ru_RU_yo en_US
    SCheckerDicPath /Users/opera/Fido/GOLDED/DICT/
    ===

    For languages other than English, you need to connect conversion tables, e.g.: ===
    XLATPATH \fido\GOLDED\XLAT\
    XLATCHARSET KOI8-R CP866 koi_866.chs
    XLATCHARSET CP866 KOI8-R 866_koi.chs
    ===

    And you need to specify a color to highlight errors. In my GEDCOLOR.CFG:
    ===
    Error LRed on Black
    ===

    can you use hunspell ??

    And you need to specify a color to highlight errors. In my
    GEDCOLOR.CFG:
    ===
    Error LRed on Black
    ===

    can you post the entire line??
    I can not an error line in the gedcolors.cfg file or sample gedcolor cfgs folder

    Let me know if you get spellcheck working I cant seem to, I assume it is automatic at least in coloring the mis-spelled words? Or do I have to ask it to spell check? I have it in my .cfg and the correct dictionary's etc...

    Yes, it is automatic.

    You only need these 4 lines:
    SCheckerEnabled Auto
    SCheckerDefLang en_US
    SCheckerDicPath "/usr/local/etc/golded+/dict"
    Color SChecker Error LRed on Black

    And the Path needs to point to where you have the dictionaries.

    do you know where golded stores its AKA's other than in golded.cfg???
    in one of my golded.cfg, all I have are my primary address's (ie no points as an aka)
    whenever I attempt to netmail 201.1, and I give golded a subject, golded changes the FROM address to my point's, Control-A does show the AKA (its not in golded.cfg) but I can not figure out how to delete it?
    I tried Alt-P but no luck either.

    One place golded gets AKA's is from your config. It can also get aka's from an areafile if you are using "AREAFILE /sbbs/" or similar. It could also get the AKA from AREA or AREADEF lines if you use those in your config.

    If that doesn't help remember that there is a force switch:

    -F

    Force recompile of most configuration files, but not all. Does not
    recompile the .CHS files.

    -FF

    Force complete recompile of all configuration files, regardless of
    whether they are up-to-date or not. This is equivalent to deleting
    all the *.GE? files.
