    Hello world!

    Wang here from the Philippines!

Been a BBS SysOp back in 1998 in Manila back when I was 15... now I'm 41, and suddenly a surge of nostalgia struck me. Now I'm trying to set up a new one just out of hobby and curiosity how it works now with the latest Internet tech.

Used to build my BBS out of Wildcat 4, but I guess that won't work with today's tech so I'd prefer something that works on Windows/Linux OS natively.

I guess that's about it... nice to meet everyone!

Welcome! If you have questions related to Synchronet, you'll find those discussion conferences in the DOVE-Net message group.

    Thanks Digital Man!

I managed to set up my own Synchronet BBS; my new BBS is as follows:

    BBS Name: Jacob's Hideout
    BBS Address: bbs.jacobcat.app
(Currently, Web, Telnet, SSH and rlogin are all enabled)

This is just the vanilla setup, will be customizing it in the coming weeks.

I also set up SMTP relay for my BBS, since my ISP blocks outgoing port 25.

I have also set up DOVENet. ^_^

Thank you very much! It's been ages since I've felt this way. =D
