Do you know how to insert a Ctrl-A code aka "^A" in Midnight Commander in Linux? I've tried different ways and nothing works for me. Thanks.
I've never used Midnight Commander. I did a quick Internet search and found this:

It looks like Meta+q is used to insert a literal character and there's even a table at the bottom of the page which shows:

(ASCII 1 is Ctrl-A)
