From Charles Pierson@1:153/757.26 to All on Wed Nov 18 07:14:58 2020
    Hello, All.

Yesterday, I discovered a guy has actually successfully set up a BBS on a smartphone. I telneted onto it and it worked. I'm not sure if it is running full time or what, but as I get more details, I'll share them here.

Perhaps with a BBS on a phone of my own.

But how practical can it be in the long run? I mean.. if it
still requires pressing the arrow keys to navigate? Sure,
many interfaces double with hot-keys, but how does this
actually look? Is the whole menu of key options on one screen?
How does an 80char wide presentation of the bbs interface
render on a smarphone for the user (or is it a different menu
    design)?

    How 'bout some screenshots? :)

Easily as practical as any other device.

I've never really manuevered with Arrow keys on BBSes, I prefer the menu keys, be it a numbered menu or what have you.

The entire menu is on the screen. At this point, he's running a basic Mystic, no real fancy ANSI yet.

It's apparently scaled well. My telnet terminal (Termius) Shows it fine. I don't have a good ANSI terminal that I can get to work consitantly yet, so I can't judge on that account. But as I said, he doesn't have much ANSI there that I can tell.

    How 'bout some screenshots? :)

As far as screenshots go, as soon as I remember what password I have on there, and I get the ok from the sysop, I'll be glad to.
