This is "BOLDED". This is "underlined". This is "italic".
    This is in "fixed spacing".
Looks good on the TgM side.

    --Subj: alternative bold/underline/italic

The following word is bolded: *BOLD*

In OpenXP and WinPoint, yes, this is BOLD.

In APoint this is also BOLD but the leading and trailing asterisks are
    also shown.

The following word is underlined: _underlined_

In OpenXP, this is BOLD but in WinPoint, it's rendered "as is" but without the leading and trailing underscores.

In APoint this IS underlined but the leading and trailing underscores are >also shown.

The following word is in italics: /italics/

Neither OpenXP nor WinPoint render this as italic, it's rendered "as is".

In APoint, this IS italicised but the leading and trailing forward slashes >are also shown.

    Interesting, eh? ;)

    Regards,
    Martin

Yes.. interesting. The * _ / formatting looks great using the nntp reader though. BTW, I missed the closing -- when I constructed the --Subj: earlier. However, *THIS* message should have a new subject consistent with the topic at hand.

Yes, I had noticed but I didn't say anything about it.

    Yes it does :)
