From Jeff Smith@1:282/1031 to All on Wed Nov 22 20:29:30 2017
    Hello There,

While not necessary I thought I should mention why I voted as I did. I voted based on what history that I am aware regarding the candidates. And also based on what the candidates stated and how they chose to state it and how they chose to present themselves. While I didn't see enough to vote against anyone I
didn't see enough to yes for everyone. Just my couple three cents worth.

So you didn't consult your region?

    Bye, Wilfred.

Yes I did Wilfred by asking for thoughts and opinions in the regional 14 echos.
Sadly there wasn't much of a response.

I'm not surprised. I did a little check on the nodes in your region. Besides you and Will Du Chene (the net 282 host), there are 8 other nodes. When I tried
to connect to those I got only 1 connect and 7 times a "Host not found: 3(NXDOMAIN)" response. Those nodes can be removed from the nodelist, they don't
exist (any more). Which leaves you a 3 nodes Region... :-(

    Bye, Wilfred.

is it anyone's business other than Jeff and his region members?

You seem awful quick to make assumptions and draw conclusions Wilfred.

Sadly the same can be said for a number of other regions in Fidonet. Some have
as little as one Net and maybe 3-8 nodes. But I refuse to dwell on the negative as you seem compelled to do.

I know that. But my main concern isn't about quantity but about quality. So what is your excuse to not keep your regions nodelist segment up to date?

    Bye, Wilfred.
