I've opted to try something different with these and pull them out of the FSX_STA echomail area. Currently they are posted four times a day.

I've worked on having those stats posted to the fsxnet.nz website instead.

I'm thinking about what others I should share on the website vs in the echomail areas and for those in the echos how often are they needed to be posted etc.. pondering the balance between frequency vs usefulness.

I've also added the fsx-use.txt file from the infopack on the website to spotlight the Usenet gateway some more..

Kinda went down a rabbit hole today with this stuff :)

Love this. I find almost all of these stats -- at the frequency they are posted -- to really just be spam that I skip past. This way when I actually want to look, I can just get the latest.

Thanks Nu, yeah I'm pondering it all also.. I'd like to keep something shared via echomail but perhaps a weekly snapshot of things vs daily logging would be the best way.

I may try to next move the daily traffic logs for 1/10 and 1/100 to the website also, perhaps revert back to a weekly overview of echomail stats instead.

I can't do much with the other HUBs stats on the website, but perhaps there's a way of getting them from Dan, Deon etc. too?

I agree. I don't even read my own usenet stats let alone anyone elses.

I am the only one who "read" the Usenet and Fsx stats :D :D :D...

But of course, I agree with the premise: You could post a weekly digest :)

    To which Commodore Clifford replies...

Might be helpful to have any stats that show message activity on the site
just as a recruiting tool to convince people that the net is an active
one and encourge them to take the plunge.

I know I personally looked at the activity level of othernets before
deciding to bother with the registration and system setup.

Thanks :) Yes I have started to add these to the fsxnet.nz website. I agree it's helpful for folks not in the network to see the, stats.
