• Telnet problem

I am running a Mystic BBS and using the "telnet out" command to try to connect with some online MUD sites. I can easily connect to them
but when I do there is sort of an echo problem.

You can see the MUD and type when connected to the MUDs but you
can't see the text that you are typing. Any idea how I could solve
this problem? If I use the plain old telnet client built into
Windows and I turn on the local echo option, I can see the
text, but I want to access the MUDs as doors through my BBS.

This just came up a few months ago somewhere around here in BBS land. I don't remember what the solution was, someone was able to write an MPL or MPY to address this, or they started to and it worked. I want to say, Opicron?

But yeah, Mystic won't do MUDs well, it's just straight telnet which MUDs don't operate well on. I had to gate out to my old Synchronet DoorParty setup from my new Mystic DoorParty setup and call out to MUDs from there. Synchronet has an actual MUD module that works pretty well.

Hopefully someone else can elaborate on what I'm talking about.
