• Scanned Bases Settings CHANGED?

From paulie420@21:2/150 to All on Sun May 5 17:35:51 2024
So... I just noticed that on my board I had two Message Bases set to NO and I swear I don't remember turning them off - so, I checked all my other Message Conferences and noticed several bases were set to NO.

I think I had this happen previously, too and I just can't figure out why. My best thought is that I DON'T use the Indexed Message Reader but sometimes pop in there and am I pressing some button/command that turns scans off, but I don't know.

Anyone else experienced this and/or had Mystic do this by itself before? (I know; its me... but I know I didn't like press Z and set bases to off. Hmmmmmm.)

Yep... Same boat as you, I hit "I" to skip and I may of hit "Y" after...

Not sure if it was me, but likely. :D

Another thing I found helpful - as stated I normally DON'T use the Indexed Reader, but its really nice. You can open it up and press CTRL-Z to select "View Unsubbed Bases"... this lets you quickly see all the bases you AREN'T subbed to which let's me check this issue w/o having to join each Conference and press "Z" to check.

Anyway, found this a quicker way to make sure I'm not unsubbed to bases that I mean to read.

i do that all the time.. try to be speedy fingers ignoring the rest and end up unsubbing.. most annoying feature ever heh. i suppose i could probably stuff the keyboard input buffer so that message isn't shown but that's kinda icky..

I experience this sometimes, for some reason this message echo was turned off on my system from me for quite a while. So now every once in a while I go through the listings to make sure I am subscribed to all echos...

... As I said before, I never repeat myself
