• Internet Issues?

From SirRonmit@21:2/120 to ALL on Tue Jun 13 22:52:15 2023
So around 3pm Central time today, I was not able to use the .php site to access. I get home, and everything is running, polling, etc.
I can connect normal via NetRunner over the network and through the Internet I found after I reset my router. I have been having other glitches with other items. I didn't look up if L3 is having issues, but was just wondering if anyone else has run into issues?

I reset all PCs and virtuals. I can see the MIS Server MESSAGES show a connection attempt, but the .php just sits there as if the IP was being blocked. I checked the fiber router and the domain servers as well as the Mystic Virtual Server firewall -- even tried turning them OFF for a test but still the same.

    :(

as they say, "if it isn't one thing, its another ..."

Check your Deny Connections list, as it isn't uncommon to ban-self if connections get wonky. I've had this twice. It is a text file and you simply delete the last (couple) entry(ies).

(as also seen in the TeleNetBBS listing -- last time I added myself to that listing I also had issues (hackers, etc.) and had to update to 62323 also because my ISP blocked 23 and 2323). I can click anything else on that page and it pulls from Mystic direct -- but the Telnet portal times out).
I'm not allowed to try NetRunner or Telnet from work due to firewall rules.

Thanks. Yeah I checked that and even cleared to blank to test yesterday. And the Server IP (telnet portal) is also within the Whitelist/Allow.

Just driving me crazy. Of course I can access via NetRunner from home (local IP and remote IP) but not if I manually try bbs.f4fbbs.com:62323. I am waiting for my proxy provider to check his end after the whole AWS outage yesterday.

I can access other items on my internal server (eg. sds200.f4fbbs.com:65002) so I know my Server Provider forwarder is working (and I deleted and readded and waiting over 8 hrs to DNS to complete just in case).

Ok, so I cleared everything and created normal :23 and I'm able to access from the web portal again.

I see others trying to access, so thanks for helping!!! I'll leave it set to that and update TelnetBBS and all the web pages. I had to use 62323 as stated before due to my ISP (Cable) blocking 23 and 2323.

I fell normal again - for now.

Ok, thanks to everyone that helped!
I cleared everything off the server, the local Mystic Server, and routes, etc. The Proxy Admin just helped me test stuff too.

My Port is changing from :62323 to :2323 officially .. in the 25 mins I was trying to get the BBS accessible via the web portal, I kept getting all these CN and TW, etc. IPs hogging the nodes. I'll leave it as :2323 for now and keep testing a fresh install on :62323 so I can get A48 fresh to see about all the issues I was having fixed (aka Bulletins, etc.)

Do I need to contact any of the Mail Admins to advise? or no, since we are only really dealing with BINKP?

    Thanks a zillion again!!!!!

    Thanks a million, zillion, everyone.

Appears the DNS cache finally released/caughtup/orjuststraightoutfixeditself .

I'm back on at 62323 and love it since those bot/hackers can't hog up all 5 nodes any longer -- that is until they read this LOL
