Well, you seem to attribute every random system problem to the linux os, I thought I return the favour. ;-)

When you need to explain it, that proves the analogy sucks.

As for the issue reported ... if the link causes issues then it is not that bright sending the error-report via that broken link. Instead, I got an error-report from Fabio via email ... that helped ... it was 100% operator error and repaired once reported...

As for Linux ... it probably is a fine OS as without it the movie 'Titanic' could not have been made. However, errors by nodelist-scribes usually are produced on linux-based systems where the OS outgrew the competences of the operator. Both Nick Andre and myself have stories to tell, not in the least about former Z1-nodelist management or the current NAB where people simply are incompetent at simple routing.

But I hope you are having a nice day right now,

You haven't mentioned that the operator were wearing a T-shirt with a penguin printed on it during the repair. :P

I think that shit happens, both with linux or windows.
The difference is if the operator is able to clean the shit from the system and how. ;)

Actually it was a codfish on a T-shirt 'In Cod We Trust" ...

I think that shit happens, both with linux or windows.

The real issue at stake is, I think, that with a Microsoft-background, as most of us have, you need to approach Linux with a total open mind and not just assume it will be somewhat the same...

There are several individuals up the *C-tree somewhere who demonstrated their incompetence at generating a segment for the next level ... over the years two of them even are/were ZC...

Agreed ... shit happens everywhere ... but not all the time ...
