From Viktor Pilpenok@2:249/3110.67 to All on Sun Dec 7 22:20:52 2003
    Hello everybody.

I was wondering, is there any program out there that can convert MSG messagebases to squish format ?

sqconv.exe/sqconvp.exe, from the SquishMail 1.11 archives:

    sqsh_111.zip/lzh SquishMail 1.11 for DOS
    sqshp111.zip/lzh SquishMail 1.11 for OS/2
    squ111r2.zip/lzh SquishMail 1.11 Y2K upgrade for DOS
    squ111p2.zip/lzh SquishMail 1.11 Y2K upgrade for OS/2

These should be fairly easy to find on the Web or on a BBS local to you if you don't have them already. The C source code is also available, if required.

A few alternatives also come to mind:

mkmsgcvt.exe, from http://lilacway.dyndns.org/mk/mkmu103.zip (written by Mark May, Mythical Kingdom Software). Turbo Pascal source code is available from the same site.

fmacopy.exe, from http://www.kvitek.com/fido/FmaCopy.zip (written by Pete Kvitek). Don't know about the source.

Or use the message copy function of one of the open source offline FidoNet mail
readers, eg. Msged, GoldED or timEd, or another offline mail reader that supports both *.MSG and Squish.

    Regards
    Andrew

One more possibility (additionally to the ones mentioned here before): Squish itself can do this: create a fake aka, export the base to this aka, and re-import the pkts into a new squish-style base.
