From Bill Gordon@1:3634/22 to All on Fri Sep 2 06:11:00 2011
I have JUST set up FastEcho with my new BBS software and I'm already
    getting error messages:
"unknown area 2 in message 6"

What does that mean, and how can I fix it/

    Thanks.

It means that your FE config has an unknown area and so it won't toss
that message, instead giving you the error message.

Message #6 is in a packet that you will find in the area you've configed
to store untossed mail. It may be among several messages or it may only be
    one message.

To create an area that you don't have defined; the easiest way is to allow
the link that sent it to you to create an area. Then if you re-toss your
mail, the message should go into an area (echo) now created by FE.

Or, you can peek into message #6 with an ASCII editor and see what area
the message is for and manually create the area (Echo) in FE config, then retoss the mail.

    Area = Echo

Only problem with that is that I have NO idea what or where message
    #6 is.

Thanks, at least now I have somewhere to start looking.

    Take care

If I were to totally wipe out all my messages (and bases??) would that
solve the problem? Start with a clean slate, so to speak??

Well, it seems that I had the SAME problem almost 3 years ago (nearly
to the month), and I was reminded of how to fix the problem. Thanks.
