I have a small problem with FastEcho that has made me move over to Gec BUT.. Gecho is not Y2k, so it screws up my dates.. at least I get th echomail tho... problem is this...
When I use 'FASTECHO SCAN' it scans my board fine, gets all the messag
puts them in a packet, which ARGUS then sees, and delivers.. all well good... but when 'FASTECHO TOSS' is used on the other end, all the me imported to the BBS are marked private... and only the sysop, or priv users can view them...
Anyone know why this is happening?
I have never seen anything like that happen before. I wonder ifThe tosser on the other end is the same version of FastEcho...
the tosser on the other end is adding the PVT bit to messages
that it tosses into the msgbase. Do you know what tosser is in
use at the other end and what switches are being used?

Check the settings on the target system for: "FeSetup-->System-->Advanced Options-->New area defaults". If there's a *private* setting there it'll se new areas on the target that way.Nope, no go.. New Area Defaults says n/a, which basically means I dont use it, hmm.. this is getting to be ONE hassle... what other tossers are there that I can use?
