well, seems that i woke everyone up and generated enough traffic to prevent this area from simply dropping off the echo distribution pathways...

maybe i'll see about posting some kind of FAQs or something each month...

    suggestions? anyone?

    Cool.

maybe i'll see about posting some kind of FAQs or something each
    month...
    suggestions? anyone?

Perhaps the first ortta be where/how to register it these days? :)

One on a recommended method of maintaining message areas...

    FEUTIL purge -delete
    FEUTIL pack -overwrite -delete
    FEUTIL link

have served me well for nigh on 8 years.

Another on using FE with Squish areas? (You can reference my own methods of tossing & maintenance, at:

    http://home.austarnet.com.au/quinn261/DOS_bats.html

if you want. [I'll let you know if the URL changes.])

The last one maybe on using an old FE 1.45 setup.exe to re-/enable use of DOS environment variables in paths, since the FE 1.46 one will not allow entering the '[' or ']' chars. (Caveat: only the default primary netmail path refused to 'take', here.)

    Cheers,
    Paul.
