Dear Hector,

Regarding the existing file search module within WIN Server I just want to send you some examples in connection for a possible improvement of file search:

Search Selection in combination point 1-3:
1. Exclude / include some file areas or select all file areas
2. Select option Date from to
3. Search by filename / option or and / like Google search  / exact file search or containing some letter-figure combination, keywords (show each letter-figure combination within the filename in different colors.

+ = and
| = or
- = not

Example search for abc+bc|aaa

Result

Aabcabaaa.zip
Arrabca.gif


Sorting result:
- Sort by file name and file area
- Sort by file size and file area
- Sort by file time and file area
- Sort by description and file area

- Sort by file name only
- Sort by file size only
- Sort by file time only
- Sort by description only

And combination sort of the point above



Result view options:
- Result option to enable small picture preview within the file list
- Result option to enable show long description
- Set max result per page
- Mark some files for later download ==> for example user can generate a separate download list
- Show file size
- Show downloads counter
- Show file date and time


Regular saved search:
- Have a saved search, like search for the same keywords for every week. Option to send the result automatically as email or xml or.. Automated generated report for the subscribers.
