I've just installed D'Bridge on a Windows 2000 SP4 - hoping to use BINKD. However, BINKDWIN doesnt start - instead it displays the error:
the procedure entry point freeaddrinfo could not be located in ws2_32.dll
I thought it could run on Windows 2000, was I mistaken ?
In the Readme for D'Bridge, I stated that XP is required at the minimum, and the reason is because the version of BinkD that is included with D'Bridge was compiled using a call to a procedure that does not exist in that DLL
version on Windows 2000 SP4.
If WS2_32.DLL on Windows 2000 is replaced by one from an XP installation, in theory it should work; however, I cannot offer tech-support for this or any problems that arise from trying that approach.
