stupid question as I just opened D'Bridge for the first time. In the configuration path to nodelist file, it doesn't like long file names I suppose. Should I abbreviate or change the file name so it is not so long. I tried this but D'Bridge didn't like it.

D'Bridge is typical DOS, so any filename needs to be of the XXXXXXXX.YYY type.

Why would you have long filenames for the nodelist? It has a standard 8+3 naming convention.

Correct. D'Bridge uses MS-DOS "8.3" filenames and directory paths.

what nodelist have long filenames ?

this is a dos limit, not a dbridge limit

Should I abbreviate or change the file name so it is not so long.

yes please only use dos filename in 8.3 name pattern

I tried this but D'Bridge didn't like it.

you get more friends if you keep dos filenames, and aswell no SafeWall.399 :=) (make it lower Case, not mixed)

I would be interested to know where you are getting nodelists with long filenames and the exact filename you are receiving. Can you supply us with that?
