No fucking problem Roger I'll never mention mass produces ale again.
I've always found it somewhat ironic that Fidonet was started by a gay, anarchist punk-rocker who published a homo-core 'zine and just happened
to be

need to regulate the morality and language of others.

I don't think those are his rules. Those have been the rules of
Fidonet since its inception.
Well if you're interested in no rules try USENET. There you can use whatever language you like. However, most FTN networks have similar
rules about language, inciting others, flaming etc.

Maybe you could join us. I have enough rods and reels for all of us. Roger will be the judge of the drinking.. I mean fishing tournament to see who drank the most beer, and who caught the biggest fish. We'll cook the fish after and have a feast. I have a feeling it's going to really happen this time.

Geeeeez no pressure there!
I think if he does that, you should buy beer for everyone. After
all, they are paying for passports and the plane fare here and
back.
You should also tell Nick and others the difference between Cajun
and Creole food.

lodging AND beer. You can furnish the welcome mat and a big smile.

I'll let you have fun with that one.
Back in my youth in New Orleans it was like this:
Creole food was seasoned to taste by the diner
Cajun food was non-existent, but when it came into being, it was
spicy to spicy-hot. Most of, but not all of the restaurants and
fast food places here serve cajun-type food whether you can stomach
it or not.

Yes. We are further to the southeast via I-10 and then SW via US 90. Hoping we can get this "party" on the calendar.

Yes. I agree, and that will vary from place to place and especially
if you are served it outside of South Louisiana.
I think Creole food would lean more towards Red Beans and Rice,
Oysters Rockefeller,
Shrimp Remolaude,
Chicken Creole, Creole style Gumbo, Turtle Soup, etc.... those are derived from the Spanish, Portuguese, Haitian, and many other
immigrant cultures.
Cajun food would be boudin, jambalaya, sausage gumbo, crawfish
dishes, other sausage dishes. These came with the French immigrants
from Nova Scotia, and the local Indian and African cultures.
Making me hungry (time for lunch).

I-95 goes down the eastern seaboard and almost right on the coastal part of Georgia and Florida... the exit for I-10 is at Jacksonville FL... https://www.mapsofworld.com/usa/highways/interstate95-map.html
I-85 goes from Sault Saint Marie to Detroit MI, Toledo OH, Dayton OH, down through Kentucky to Knoxville TN, Chattanooga TN, to Altanta GA, Macon GA and down the central and western side of Florida to Tampa FL, Sarasota FL, Naples FL and then straight across to the east coast at Fort Lauderdale and south to terminate in Miami... the exit for I-10 is north-west of Lake City FL by a few miles... https://www.mapsofworld.com/usa/highways/interstate75-map.html

You must be referring to the smell of swamp gas that bubbles up to the surface from the dead and decaying matter underneath. That's Louisiana's natural gas industry at work. Yes. Swamps can smell that way, and they can also smell green and fresh. It just depends on the specific area.
I remember the peculiar strong odor of sulfur gas that we get after a hurricane passes. It stirs up the bottom of the bayous and shallow lakes causing the nasty gas to be released. It will usually linger for weeks.

For me, it is a shooting pain in my right hip that happens only when driving. When I get out of the car after a 3 hour drive I have to limp for 10 steps or so before I regain movement. It's hell getting old. (-:

don't be confused by the term "interstate"... it doesn't always mean "existing or carried on between states"... in this case, it is the term used for "The Dwight D. Eisenhower National System of Interstate and Defense Highways (commonly known as the Interstate Highway System, Interstate Freeways, or simply the Interstate)" which is "a network of controlled-access highways that forms a part of the National Highway System of the United States."
as for I-4, there are apparently 17 others like it...
as for I-4, there are apparently 17 others like it...
Interesting. I wonder, do they all connect between two different Interstate Highways, like I-4 does between I-96, and I-75?
Interesting. I wonder, do they all connect between two different

no, they do not... remember there's also a bunch of US highways that are also in play... I-97 goes from Annapolis' US50 to Baltimore's I-695/I-895 loop... many of them do go from I-something to I-something but not all...
i pulled the information from here... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Interstate_Highways
