  • D'Bridge - Hub cleanup.

    Just out of curiousity, was wondering how people running D'Bridge as a hub to feed others does "house cleaning"?

    For example, if a node doesn't connect to you in 6 months.

    Also, any new and exciting beers out there to try?

    The IP-functionality is an external event that D'Bridge cannot interface with, meaning the mail just accumulates.

    Now, with the size of discs these days it hardly is a problem.

    An example.

    2:2432/0 is kinda a major mail hub in R24 (Germany). He hasn't picked-up mail here since February 26th of this year and it accumulates. I have informed the powers-that-be in R24 and they don't seem to give a shit, therefor neither do I.

    Also, any new and exciting beers out there to try?

    Don't need new beers in Belgium, there are that many already.

    Sounds like a good feature. Maybe the program can send a netmail to the user stating what nodes are
    dead or not connecting in a given period of time.

    Do you have your hub setup to crash mail to nodes? True, disk space is no issue these days. The main thing I would like to clean up is the polling of dead nodes.

    What I might do is set my hub to PICKUP only for all nodes so I don't have to worry about it. That might be the easy answer.

    Don't need new beers in Belgium, there are that many already.

    There are a good many here as well. Just picked up a 30 pack of Bud Light today, but had to look at all the other various micro-brews and smaller company
    brews.

    Next time, I'll probably go for a mixed 6-pack to sample a bunch of them.
