I don't believe so. What kind of issues are you having?

are you rotating your logs properly? remember there's no year in the binkd log file format... i have been rotating mine monthly but it is a manual process where i grep out the month's data for stats processing and store it in another file... i saw what you are seeing and trimmed my log to cut out Dec 2016 and manually ran my stats (which you are using the same script) and they worked just fine...

TLDR; trim your logs so that only 2017 data is in them... best to do this monthly so that a full month is in each log cutting and only the current month is in the live log...

Thank you sir... that seems to have done the trick. I usually leave the previous month in the logs and never had an issue. Guess change of year screws with the script.

Mark explained it to me. Seems as if the perl script we both use chokes on the log during change of years. I normally trim the log and only go back a month but I had to remove December and it worked.

    Thanks!!

Ah. That would probably explain why I didn't have any issues. I rotate my binkd
logs daily, and my report only shows one day's worth of statistics.

yes, for some reason the year change does... not sure why and probably won't dig in to try to figure it out... you can actually leave the entire year's data
in the log but it will be a huge log and the processing will take longer and longer as the log gets bigger... but the year roll over problem will remain... kinda sucks that there's no year in the log format as that would be very helpful but *nix logging formats don't have the year either... oh well... glad you got it sussed...
