Thinkpad laptops make nice BBSes. Mine, combined with a small UPS,Im looking for power savings, even with solar you can run a potential of 100 buck a month bills with air conditioning regularly.

Start looking for a HP or Dell small form factor I have two HP that burns like 40 watts. And yes a run a BBS great.

I worked with HP on designing these systems back around 2014. I don'trecommend
them - they run *hot* and so stability is a problem. They *look* greatthough.

I checked mine seems to run 45C with a max of 49 on core one.
Then here is another suggestion I have two of these also.

I worked with HP on designing these systems back around 2014. I don't recommend them - they run *hot* and so stability is a problem. TheyJust like those cool gamer laptops where you likely can scald your lap.

I run one on a Raspberry Pi. I also run one, this one, on an UP Board sbc. Both put off very little heat, which help keep the room cooler
during the Summer, too. The UP Board is more powerful than any desktop
PC I ever had, and runs on an intel chip so there are few incompatabilities. Only issue would be if you require a CD-ROM drive onboard. :)
