  • My new Cichlids.

    Anyone care to identift these juvenile cichlids? http://www.cutecats.co.uk/cichlids.jpg

    I am wondering what these are, I have 10 in total, a few of each in the picture.

    I want to add another 10 to 15, of a different Cichlid, hopefully which will become colourful adults. I like the look of the Lemon Cichlid, and I also
    seen a picture of a deep royal blue Cichlid, cannot recall its name.

    What do you guys suggest as tank mates for these guys?

    I believe the yellow ones with the black stripes are Aratus. I have had a few of those and they are really mean fish. They pretty much dominated my tank even though they were smaller than all the other fish. I would recommend getting some Jewels. Jewels are really pretty fish and arent all that violent and seem to get along fairly well with other cichlids. Jack dempsies are kind of cool too other than they like to destroy all the plants in your tank! lol
