    Well, amateur radio operators are some of the most
    CHEAPSKATE...er...FRUGAL... individuals you'll ever meet (hi hi).

    Yes of course, ham radio isn't a cheap hobby if you want to keep your HG>station up-to-date.

    For that matter, ANY hobby isn't cheap...if you want "the latest and greatest".

    If it ain't broke (if it works), don't fix it.

    Really. It's like the joke where the two kids named "Trouble" and
    "Shut Up" got lost. A policeman comes upon one of them, and asks his
