Has anyone considered it a better idea to have the scan date in mysticbbs be changed for a 4 digit year instead of a 2 digit year. Wouldnt 99 be confused for 2099, instead of 1999?

not if the normal method of separation is used... by that i mean that there's
a specific cutoff point where anything less than the cutoff is seen to be
    2000 or higher...

eg: with 80 as the cutoff
    80 indicates 1980
    99 indicates 1999
    00 indicates 2000
    79 indicates 2079

i do the same thing as above in one of my satellite tools but the cutoff is
57 (IIRC) which is when the first satellite was launched... so anything less than 57 is in the 2000s and anything greater is in the 1900s... yes, this system will break when the cutoff is reached in the new century...

i do agree, though, that four digit years would be better... i'd like to see more data formats available to the users for their use, too... i'd definitely also like to see seconds added to the message viewer header... especially
since there have been recent code changes to ensure they are not forced to :00 ;)
