Just a little bit of friendly advice, don't take this the wrong way because there are people in fidonet that will make a big deal out of test messages in the WRONG place... (there are people in fidonet who will make a big deal out
of damn near everything and they will never drop it either). The -ONLY-
place to post a test message and be safe is FIDOTEST any other echo may have
a broom up their butt moderator or a user who thinks they are the lord and master of fidonet and they will go crazy.
I chose to reply here because the Z1 Backbone echo generally has cool people like Ross Cassell, and Bob Seaborn in it that administer the backbone.
Hang in there and if you need anything just ask... you can join FN_SYSOP I am the moderator there. Good place to cut your teeth, ask questions, just be cautioned some peoples bark is worse than their bite... and some are all feather and no chicken.
