Since too many people are hammering my wwiv bbs on 2323, im wondering if i could just load it like a door in Mystic BBS's matrix.

Yep, I used to do this. However keep in mind it'll tie up a node in your Mystic BBS.

Alternatively, you could install a /new/ mystic BBS on port 2323 and have any login attempts seamlessly pass to the WWIV board. This is how I was running daydream for a while, because I wanted all the bot killing features of Mystic.

What happens as a result of the connections? Do you have anything like "fail2ban" set up that will block IPs after so many bad attempts?
