    Howdy!,

Can a CD/DVD Drive be used with a Chromebook?

I have mentioned external Drives to my Friend who uses a Chromebook
and He is thinking about buy one.

I Searched with DuckDuckGo for information about Chromebooks and CD/DVD drives and one website page:

    https://www.chromebookhq.com/chromebook-dvd-drive/

    says:
"In summary, a Chromebook optical drive:

Can read disks, but with only accepted file types
Can play music from accepted file types, like mp3
Can play movies from accepted file types, like mp4
Cannot burn files to a CD or DVD"

Does Anyone use a CD or DVD external drive with their Chromebook?

    Thanks! for any comments,

What is "limited ssd"? Solid State Drive?

When You say "filesystem, then move data to the chromebook" is that done
on the Chromebook or to another pc and using Wi-Fi to get it on the
    Chromebook.

I've only played with Chromebooks at the Stores a couple of times, and don't know the In's and Out's of how to feed a Chromebook, that's why I asked here about using a CD on one of them.
